D-Generation: An Exaltation of Larks

Puppets, music and video come together in this poignant new production about dementia and the play, joy and communication that is possible between those with dementia and their caregivers. The cast of puppet characters are residents of a care facility who join a story circle. The piece is based on the story-collecting process (called TimeSlips) and on the stories themselves, over 40 of which were collected by Sandglass artists during visits with local care facility residents. This is a stunning collaboration between Sandglass Theater, Michel Moyse (video), Paul Dedell (music), Sabrina Hamilton (lighting design) and Roberto Salomon (direction).  Rated PG-13.
